As you know, our God knows no boundaries or time zones therefore we offer opportunities for our Church family to worship and fellowship together during live services as well as grow together weekly via Live Services, VOD and Internet Church.

Our Church History

OCTOBER 2014

Restoration Christian Church of Virginia (RCC-VA), founded by Apostle Charlie & Prophet Vikki Ammons was launched during its First Annual Holy Convocation Service at Woodside High School on Sunday, October 5, 2014. The establishment of RCC-VA is a result of the pastoral/apostolic and prophetic mantles on Apostle Charlie and Prophet Vikki’s life to bring FULL RESTORATION to the entire body of Christ.

NOVEMBER 2014

On November 3-11, 2014, Restoration Christian Church of Virginia funded its first Missions Trip to Kampala, Uganda for the “Restoration is NOW!” Missions Conference.

DECEMBER 2015

In December 2015, Restoration Christian Church of Virginia secured its current worship and outreach center location in the Denbigh section of Newport News. On January 31, 2016, Restoration Christian Church of Virginia held its first service in its new location. On February 7, 2016, Restoration Christian Church of Virginia had the grand opening for the Kingdom Kids “Dream Center.” RCC-VA’s Corporate Worship and Outreach Center includes the ministry’s main sanctuary, teen worship room, the “Dream Center” for Kingdom Kids and youth with special needs, resource center, and café.

OCTOBER 2016

On October 2, 2016, Covenant Pastors, Partners and Leadership of Restoration Christian Church of Virginia, along with a host of family, friends and community leaders witnessed the Apostolic Confirmation and Commissioning of Sr. Pastor Charlie Ammons to the Office of Apostle. The Chief Consecrator was Apostle Zinerva White, Jr. of Fruit of the Spirit Ministries International Apostolic Network.

FEBRUARY 2017

On Sunday, February 22, 2017, Restoration Christian Church of Uganda (Gayaza Manyagwa) came together for their first corporate worship service. The Lord led 37 men, women and youth to come together for a high time of praise, worship and ministry of the Word! Through the ministry of RCC-Uganda, lives are being saved, set free and delivered!

Today

The Restoration Christian Church of Virginia family continues to grow and expand numerically and geographically. As we continue to follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit, lives are being transformed, people are being set free and destinies are being fulfilled, to the glory of God our Father!

Apostle Charlie Ammons

Native of Round Oak, Georgia, Apostle Charlie Ammons currently serves as the Founder and General Overseer of Restoration Christian Church (RCC) and Restoration Covenant Alliance International (RCAI) in Newport News, Virginia. As a man of God who operates in authority and submits to authority, Apostle Charlie understands rank, rule and order in the Kingdom of God. He is anointed with an Apostolic Mantle and takes joy in releasing the spirit of Servant-Leadership to the Body of Christ.

Over the past several years, Apostle Charlie has served in ministry in various capacities. He presents with extensive experience evolving around ministerial oversight, pulpit ministry and administrative leadership. He has a passion for mentoring and developing quality leaders who are trained to operate with a spirit of excellence. Apostle Charlie’s spiritual growth and development excelled at a rapid pace. He was licensed as minister to preach the gospel in 2000, ordained an Elder in 2003 and elevated to serve as Assistant Pastor of Living Waters Christian Fellowship in 2006. Apostle Charlie and his wife, Vikki Ammons, were installed as Senior Pastors of Living Waters Christian Fellowship in June 2011. October 2014, Apostle Charlie and Sr. Pastor Vikki Ammons launched Restoration Christian Church (RCC) of Newport News, Virginia. During that time, covenant pastors were ordained, members and leaders were affirmed and ministry vehicles were dedicated for continued use and expansion within the Kingdom of God. On October 2, 2016, Covenant Pastors, Partners and Leadership of Restoration Christian Church of Virginia, along with a host of family, friends and community leaders witnessed the Apostolic Confirmation and Commissioning of Charlie Ammons to the Office of Apostle. Apostle Charlie received his Associates Degree in Public Administration (Summa Cum Laude) and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work (Magna Cum Laude) from Christopher Newport University. He has been married to Prophet Vikki Ammons of Newport News, Virginia for 35 years. They are the proud parents of two sons, Jonathan Elijah and Jeremiah Gabriel.

Prophet Vikki Ammons

Native of Newport News, Virginia, Prophet Vikki Ammons currently serves as the Founder and General Overseer of Restoration Christian Church of Virginia (RCC-VA) and Restoration Covenant Alliance International (RCAI) in Newport News, Virginia with her husband, Apostle Charlie Ammons.

Together, they bring honor to God through their 37 years of marriage and ministry. They have two sons, Jonathan and Jeremiah, one daughter-in-love Destiny and one grandson Korbin, all of whom are producing fruit through their love for God, family and community.

Prophet Vikki has served in ministry over the past twenty years, operating in the gifts of helps and administration at First Baptist Church Denbigh, under the pastorate of Pastor Ivan & Sylvia Harris, as well as freely flowing and operating in the five-fold ministry gifts of the Pastor and Teacher over the past twelve years while at Living Waters Christian Fellowship.

While at Living Waters, she was licensed as Minister to Preach the Gospel in 2000, ordained an Elder in 2003 and set in as Youth Pastor of Living Waters Christian Fellowship in 2008. During this time, she has selflessly provided both administrative and ministerial oversight for the youth ministries, developed and trained leaders within the youth, young adult and adult settings and implemented strategies for growth throughout associated satellite ministries.

In June of 2011, Prophet Vikki and her husband, Charlie Ammons, were installed as Senior Pastors of Living Waters Christian Fellowship. October 2014, Pastors Charlie and Vikki Ammons launched Restoration Christian Church (RCC) of Newport News, Virginia. During that time, covenant pastors were ordained, members and leaders were affirmed and ministry vehicles were dedicated for continued use and expansion within the Kingdom of God.

Prophet Vikki is the founder and general overseer of WOW Ministries International where she covers and empowers women of all ages across the globe.

Prophet Vikki is an economic prophet serious about advancing Kingdom’s agenda by bringing God’s people out of financial bondage and into a life of financial freedom. She is fully equipped, trained and licensed as a Personal Financial Analyst. As such, she is anointed with wisdom, knowledge and revelation needed to provide families with essential steps necessary to establish and maintain financial order.

Her practical, yet powerful messages centered around “Restoring Financial Order” have changed the lives of many who are now budgeting, investing, purchasing homes and building businesses.

She is the founder and overseer of CHAINBREAKERS Deliverance Training where God’s people everywhere are being equipped with spiritual warfare strategies required for living a victorious life in Christ.

She is the author of a powerful download from Heaven entitled “The Postures of Prayer and Warfare.” This manual provides greater knowledge and insight of the biblical references, nature and significance of various postures. It encourages the reader to tap into God’s promises and reclaim blessings that belong to them and their family!

Campus Pastors

Pastor Rayford “Ray” Miller

Pastor Rayford “Ray” Miller was born and raised in Lancaster, South Carolina. After faithfully serving his country for twenty-one years in the United States Air Force, he retired with honor and currently serves professionally as a Mission Lead with Leidos, supporting an Intelligence Unit. His military and professional leadership experience have shaped his commitment to integrity, service and excellence in both ministry and the marketplace.

Pastor Ray has faithfully served in ministry for over two decades. His ministry journey began as a Deacon in 2001, followed by becoming a Licensed Minister in 2003, an Ordained Elder in 2007, and later answering the call to serve as Pastor in 2014. Throughout his years of ministry, Pastor Ray has demonstrated a strong passion for discipleship, leadership development, and equipping believers to grow in their faith and walk confidently in their God-given purpose.

Pastor Ray holds a Certificate of Divinity, an Associate of Applied Science in Electronic Systems Technology, a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management, and a Master of Arts in Executive Leadership and Management. Over the years, he has served in several ministry leadership roles including Head Deacon at Agape Fellowship International Ministry in Okinawa, Japan, Praise and Worship Ministry Head at Family Life International in San Antonio, Texas, and Men’s Ministry Head at Restoration Christian Church of Virginia.

Pastor Ray’s heart for ministry is to lead with humility, serve with excellence, and help others grow in their relationship with Christ.

Pastor Danette Miller

Pastor Danette Miller was born and raised in Monroe, North Carolina and currently serves on staff at Restoration Christian Church of Virginia. She has faithfully served in ministry leadership for many years and was licensed as a Minister in 2012, ordained as an Elder in 2014, and later called to serve as Pastor in 2022.

Pastor Danette holds a Certificate of Divinity from Agape Divinity School, a Certificate in Administration of Apprenticeship from the Commonwealth of Virginia, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Leadership.

Throughout the years, she has served in several ministry leadership roles including Children’s Ministry Director at Agape International Ministries in Okinawa, Japan, Office Administrator at Family Life International in San Antonio, Texas, and Comptroller at Restoration Christian Church of Virginia.

Pastor Danette has a deep heart for families and is passionate about seeing them flourish and grow into everything God designed them to be.

Pastors Ray and Danette serve together in ministry with a shared passion for strengthening families, developing leaders, and building a thriving church community. Together they have served as Youth Pastors and Vision Council Members at Family Life International in San Antonio, Texas, and now serve as Pastoral Leaders and members of the Executive Leadership Team at Restoration Christian Church of Virginia.

They have been married for thirty years and are blessed with three children—Rayford IV, Imani, and Joshuah—along with their daughter-in-love, Samahri and their grandson Rayford V, affectionately known as “Cinco.”

Together, their greatest joy in ministry is helping people grow in their faith, strengthen their families, and walk confidently in the purpose God has for their lives.

TENETS OF FAITH AND DOCTRINE

Restoration Christian Church Virginia accepts the Scriptures as the revealed Will of God, the all-sufficient principle and standard of faith and practice, and for the purpose of proliferation of the gospel, adopts the following statement of fundamental Truths and Doctrine:

The Inspired Scriptures: The Holy Bible

We believe the Scripture, all 66 books of the combined Old andNew Testaments, is verbally inspired by God. We believe that the Bible is inerrant in the original writings, and it is the Christian's final authority in faith and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

The One True Godhead

We believe that there is only one true, living sovereign, holy, and eternally existent God. God is infinitely perfect, and He exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The triuneGod is the creator and sustainer of all things, the source of all truth, and is worthy of worship, confidence, and obedience. (Deuteronomy 6:4-5; Genesis 1:31)

Man, His Fall and Redemption

We believe that mankind is the crown of God's creative activity and the most significant of His creative power. God created man in His image and breathe life into him. But man sinned, incurring not only physical death, but also spiritual death (separation from God, which all people inherit from Adam). We believe that man is subject toSatan's power; and that man, within himself, has no means of recovery or salvation. God’s redemptive power for mankind is available only through His gift of love in sending His Son as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind. Mankind’s reception of God's gift is through the accepting and faith of the sacrificial work of Jesus Christ. (Genesis 1:17, 31)

The Salvation of Man through Jesus Christ

We believe that salvation is God's free gift to mankind. Salvation is neither merited nor secured in part or in whole by any human virtue, work, ceremony, or effort. We receive God’s gift only through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. In Christ, all true believers have--as a present possession-eternal life, perfect righteousness, and sonship in God’s family. Christians also enjoy every spiritual resource needed for life and godliness and have the divine guarantee that they shall never perish. God has delivered Christians from all condemnation, and we have eternal security in Christ. (Ephesians 2:8-10; 2Corinthians 5:21)

The Ordinances: Water Baptism and Lord's Supper

Jesus instructed His followers to remember His death and resurrection. He gave the Church two visible symbols (called"ordinances") as reminders. These two ordinances are water baptism and the Lord's Supper. Each person must decide whether to be baptized or to participate in the Lord's Supper. Regardless, we do not regard anyone's participation in these practices as a means of salvation. (Matthew 28:18-20; Matthew 26: 26-29; 1Corinthians 11:23-32)

The Ministry of the Holy Spirit

We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. The full consummation of the Baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is evidenced by the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as "the Spirit gives utterance," and by the subsequent manifestation of Spiritual power in public testimony and service. This is in comparison to the infilling or the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in believers as it was with John the Baptist. (Acts 2:4; 10:44-46; 19:2-6; 1:8)

We believe that He convicts the world of sin and regenerates the believing sinner, baptizing him into the Church (which is the Body of Christ). We believe that He indwells guides, instructs, and empowers believers for godly living and service. We believe that God gives all believers at least one spiritual gift so we can use this gift for the strength and outreach of the Church. (John 14:16-19; 16:7-15; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Romans 8:9, 11; Titus 3:5)

Apostolic Ministry

“We believe that the doctrines of the original apostles were established by God in His Son, the Apostle and High Priest, Jesus Christ (Hebrews 3:1). The apostolic tenets of this church are one of equipping and sending God’s people to do the work of kingdom ministry.

We further believe that this apostolic mandate of "being sent" is theocratic under

God’s authority just as Jesus was sent by God, He also sendsHis disciples, (John 20:21).

Marriage & Sexuality

We believe that God has established marriage as a lifelong, exclusive relationship between one man and one woman and that all intimate sexual activity outside the marriage relationship, whether heterosexual, homosexual, including but not limited to fornication, adultery, incest, pedophilia, polyamory, bestiality, lewd conduct, transgender behavior, or otherwise, is immoral, inconsistent with the teaching of the Bible and the Church, and is therefore sin. We believe that the Church is called to teach and practice these teachings and is not at liberty to depart from them for a different authority if the Church is to authentically bear the name “Christian.” As a result, in order to maintain our consistent Christian witness, we cannot sanction, approve, affirm, or promote, in any way, any of the aforementioned lifestyles or behaviors. We cannot and will not sanction or officiate any marriage that is not heterosexual (between a man & woman) in this church. (Gen. 2:24-25; Ex. 20:14, 17, 22:19; Lev. 18:22-23, 20:13, 15-16; Matt. 19:4-6, 9; Rom. 1:18-31; I Cor. 6:9-10, 15-20; I Tim. 1:8-11; Jude 7)
